My baby is 4!!!!?? I don't know where that last year went but he grew into a big boy! We had his birthday party on Sunday at the Norhland. One of his favorite things to do is swim so thats where we went! He would not go in the big pool though cause he said it was to cold... so he only hung out in the hot tub for a bit... played with toys then back to the hot tub for a bit again! He's to funny!
Halloween he was a vampire! Little scary one at that! He still has the black eyebrows... just will not come off!! ha haComments:Add a comment:

Never a dull moment with 2 boyz! Boyz will be boyz and Xander will be Xander! Xander has surpassed Killian with trips to the ER, actually we have been very lucky with Killian, only one semi-break in over 7 years and that is great considering he is full of energy and down right crazy... anyway Xander is the little curious, care free, energetic one that seems to get him self in not-so "eye opening" "sticky" situations! It is physically impossible to keep your eyes on 2 boys at all times! Xander will be in the kitchen with me as I am cooking and still finds things that he shouldn't!! Take for example the tube of super glue... all it took was a minute and he had that off the counter and open and squeezed out as much as he could all over his hand... but it does not stop there, he must have had an itch??? NOt sure but right to his eye his hand went... all I heard was "mom, my eye is stuck" and I knew exactly what happened! Oh My GOD!! was all I could think- I ran to the other room and sure enough- hand stuck to his eye! I tried to look but he would have nothing of it! I pulled on his hand and it was stuck to the skin right under his eye! I freaked out and cried- mom' do that... well he pulled that off and I thought all was better... until I saw the HUGE glob of glue on his eye!! I thought I was frantic before, oh dear was I a mess now! Killian woke up to my crying and got all upset! I threw clothes on and left Xander in his jamies- put shoes on him and we were off to the ER- Killian got in the car and got out! He simply could not go, he feels so bad when his brother is hurt... he could not bare to see anything a Dr had to do!
We got to the hospital and got right in and to a bed- the nurse right away told me she put super glue in her eye once thinking it was eye drops and she had a contact in! Glued the contact to her eye and they had to scrape it out- some scar tissue but she can see she says!!! What!?!? Was that supposed to make me feel better?!?!?! I was still tearing up... thinking my child would never see out of this eye, oh my the god awful things I was thinking!! ugh!!! The dr came and said- we just put some ointment on the eye and it should just come off after a while?!?!?!?! WHAT!?!?! This is what I am thinking. The nurse came back and gave me a tube of vaseline- here you go put this on his eye to keep the glue moist and it will eventually come off...
Well I see now 2 days later that it is just his eye lashes that are glued together at this time- there is no way that that glue is gonna let those things go!!! I called a nurse back- she says cut them off... ok ok- he is almost 4!!! I think I will attempt this, I talk till I am blue in the face! Telling Xander that it does not hurt to cut hair and he needs to sit very very still so I do not poke his eye... I even let Tony cut some of my eye lashes so Xander sees that it does not hurt!!! TO NO AVAIL!!!!! I call Brock- Brock is oh so happy it did not happen when he was with him! ya ya!! Don't I know!!! He got a chuckle until I told him that he needs to cut them cause he will simply not let me!! So as of now, Monday morning Brock needs to cut them off or bring the poor little guy to the Dr... ugh!!! It was heartbreaking all weekend to see my poor little guy with one eye- constantly falling and running in to things! He is so accident prone already! Killian had to help him a few times on the stairs cause he kept missin some!!!!! Ugh!! BOYZ!!!!!!!!!Comments:Add a comment:

Well I have learned that my Little X-man is just as, if not more clumsy then his mommy!! I am pretty sure he hits his head on something 100 times a day and every time he fake cries for the attention and goes and plays again! He always has new owies in is head... bruises on his legs! We need to buff this little guy up! He is skin and bones! Xander can eat and eat but he stays the same size!!!
Xander was also in Uncle Tony's wedding over Memorial Day weekend... poor little guys feet still have the blister marks! The price you gotta pay to look god I say! ha ha
Xander is still obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine and wants to watch it or play with the trains ALL the time! He is so content just playin by himself with his trains! It is so fun just to sit an watch him when he does not know you are looking!!
Xander is definitely his brother's side kick- he worries about him and wonders where he is if he can not see him... they are so good together and I love to watch them interact and see the friendship between them grow!!!!!Comments:Add a comment:

Our little Xman had his firt bad owie! He fell at nana Gayles, hit his head on the fence and had to get "glued" :) no stiches at least. He took it like a trooper and got a teddy bear at the hospital! I have a few pictures that I need to put on here... poor baby... but all boy!! :) I am shocked that Killian has not had to be run to the hospital at all! Knock on wood!
Xander is still a little bean pole- can only buy pants with adjustable waiste for that little guy... I keep waiting for him to get a little weight on him... I think he only eats for nana Gayle!!!
Xander is definately his brothers little side kick, he always wants to know where Killian is and wants to be with him!!
Xander and Killian are very diferent though- Xander is OBSESSED still with Thomas the Tank Engine... trains trains trains. I think he has learned so much about trains from Thomas books and movies that he knows more about trains then I!!!Comments:Grandma B: I am sorry to hear about Zander's fall. Good he did not need to have stitches. Teddy Bears given at the hospital is a good practice. Hope Killian will not have to experience the hospital visit. Bet he watches Zander. Hope all goes well for you.
With love,

My poor baby! He has started a new daycare! He misses his brother terribly! He got so sick the other night! Throwing up all over! A very tough week all around!
It breaks my heart every morning... I pull up to Mary's and Xander starts in... I want to go to Gayle's! I bring him in and he cries and cries when I leave him!! I hate it!!! What is a mom to do!?!?!?!?!Comments:Seegers: Uff da, that has got to be harder then hard! Hope you settle into your new daycare Xander. It makes Mommies so sad when their little ones cry! Hope you feel better too. Grant does not feel good either. Next week is sure to be better!Add a comment:

Wow it has been over a month since my last update! Summer is going by way too fast! Xander is crazy as ever and growing and learning new things every day!
We went to the Fertile Fair this past weekend, I did not get nearly enough pictures as my camera was full! :( Kids had a great time and Xander loved the rides! He is a thrill seeker just like his big brother.
Hope this finds every one well and having a fabulous summer!Comments:Add a comment:

I had a wonderful Mother's Day! Brock and the boyz brought me up breakfast in bed on Sunday! He had been to Hugo's bright and early that morning... he brought me up eggs and toast and fried potatoes and a bunch of cut up fruit! Coffee and water as well! The boyz kept trying to eat my fruit and Brock would tell them "that is mommy's" I said it is OK, that is what being a mom is all about! Nothing is your own! I just sat there and watched both the boyz lying on their tummies eating MY breakfast! It was so sweet, as long as I had my coffee I was fine!
I got to lounge on the couch for a few hours, Xander must be going through a stage where he always wants ME! Brock would keep saying "Xander, I will help you" Xander would reply "NO, MOMMY DO IT!" I told Brock I did not mind at all! It is nice to feel needed! Brock tried all day to help even more then he always does, I think he was a little disgusted at times when Xander wanted me... don't worry Dad, Killian will always be right at your side wanting YOU!! :)
We had a busy day visiting everyone! We went to both my Grandma's houses and Brock and Killian went to his Grandma's house, we visited at my mom's for quite a while and stopped at Dad and Rachael's on the way home! What a fun filled day of visiting everyone!
Every year on Mother's Day I feel more and more blessed and truly happy to be a mom!Comments:Grandma B: Dear Rachel, I am glad you had a great Mother's Day. I was happy you shared some of the day with me, your Aunts, cousins etc. Love yaAdd a comment:

What a weekend! It went by too fast! I finally got some pics of Xander on the potty, he feels like such a big boy sittin' on the pot! :)
Every night Xander asks for a bubble bath, Killian does not usually like bubbles so we have to take turns, last night was Xander's turn.. looks to me like Killian had fun.
Saturday morning... I felt like the worlds most awful mom, Brock and Killian left for soccer as I was cleaning up a little before we were to go to Fargo for the night. The boyz were super excited to spend the night at Grandma and Grandpa's, Brock and I were excited for a night away... a date?!?!?! :) Any who, I was doing dishes when I finally realized the difference between a toy and a 2 year old falling down the stairs! Thump, mom! Thump, ahh. Thump, owie!! Finally he landed on the floor and he cried, I had run in there when he was about 4 stairs from the bottom and could not get him till he was on the floor, I picked him up and he was like a noodle. I stayed so calm and was amazed with my self... although I was shaking so bad I had to redial the hospital 3 times...to only get we can not give advice over the phone anymore, can I give you the "Ask A Nurse line?" Well by this time Xander had quit crying and seemed OK, I took the number from her and tried 3 more times to dial that number. (We only have our cell phones because we got rid of our land lines, so little buttons do not work so well when you are freakin' out) As I waited for a nurse to pick up Xander was sitting on me in the chair and looked outside and said "I want to jump on trampoline mommy" At that point I knew he would be fine! Finally a nurse came on the phone, Xander heard me tell her the he fell down the stairs and he piped up "I'm broken mommy, fix me together" the nurse and I giggled. I felt for bumps on his head and felt nothing, she asked me to see how he walked so I put him down and he ran to the kitchen, all was good there. So she finished up telling me what to look for with a "minor" head injury, as she was doing this what do you think my little stinker did, went back up the stairs to get a toy, the one I think he may have been trying to bring down the first time. He has always done perfect on the stairs, but this time I do not know what happened, what I do know is that right before he fell I heard him say "monsters are coming" then the thumps... most certainly a sound I will never ever forget!!
Needless to say Xander had a blast at Grandma and Grandpa's, playing with play-dough and Grandpa acting as his famous "TICKLE MONSTER" that the boyz love. I still have not seen a bruise on Xander from that horrible fall... Xander has some wonderful Great-Grandpa angels watching over him and keeping him safe... We were so thankful that it was not near as bad as it could have been!Comments:Grandma B: Wow!! A fall down the stairs. I am glad to hear Xander did not hurt himself. His Guardian Angel watches over him for sure. Love, Great-grandmaAdd a comment:
